MRS. L. C. STERRET DIES OF INJURIES

Apparently going to sleep at the wheel, Mrs. L. C. Sterret, 58, of this city, was seriously injured in a car accident one and one-half miles north of Dazey, N.D., at about 5:30 last Thursday afternoon.

Mrs. Sterret left Greenwood, Clark County at four o'clock Thursday morning en route to Lakota, N.D.., to visit a nephew, B. F. Pierce. She had traveled more than 500 miles and was within 70 miles of her destination.

She suffered four cracked ribs, a deep gash in her arm which bled profusely, and other bruises. She was alone in the car which leaped across a ditch, hurtled a fence and smashed a telephone pole, breaking it off six feet from the ground.

Word was received here Tuesday that Mrs. Sterret had passed away. Funeral services will be held at Lakota, N.D., Friday afternoon. She is survived by one son, Harlan, who resides in California.

For the past two years Mrs. Sterret has been employed at the office of National Farm Loan Association and roomed at the A. S. Armstrong home.

Before coming here she was employed at the Bank of North Dakota in Bismark for 14 years. She had many local friends who will grieve to learn of her sudden departure.
