GREENWOOD MAN BURIED SUNDAY

Greenwood--Rites were conducted here Sunday afternoon for John Emberson, 57, who died Friday, Aug. 6, 1937, of a heart ailment. Brief services at the residence preceded those at United Lutheran Church. The Rev. A. E. Norson, assisted by the Rev. M. K. Aaberg, officiated at the rites, and burial took place in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Drummond, Oscar Rear, Ole Johnson, John Wuethrich, Thomas Erickson and Henry Thompson. Misses Florence Friske, Viola Thompson, Jane Huntzicker, and Helen Albertson were in charge of the floral tributes.

The many out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral included Anton Emberson and son, Glen, Mrs. Ellen Emberson and son, Casper, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Ingwell, Mrs. Henry E. Hanson and son, Edwin, Hannock Saether, Lawerence Severson, Casper Peterson and Carl Albertson and daughter, Hellen, all of Blanchardville Henry Emberson, Wilma Johnson, and Mrs. Martin Johnson, Argyle Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Gegland and Erma Albertson, Madison Mr. and Mrs. Henry Coates and daughter, Ruby, Reeseburg and Mrs. Otto Lewerenz and Mrs. William Baumann, Neillsville.

Mr. Emberson, who was born near Blanchardville, was married to Miss Dena Albertson in 1902 at York, Green County. She survives him, as do one son, Vilas, at home three daughters, Naomi and Eulilla, at home and Mrs. John D. (Ragnhild) Wuethrich, Greenwood one grandson one brother, Anton Emberson and five sisters, Mrs. Henry E. (Lena) Hanson, and Mrs. Peter (Carrie) Severson, Blanchardville Mrs. Henry (Emma) Olson, Bisby, S.D. and Mrs. Henry (Mathilda) Gilbertson, Roselyn, S.D.

One son, Dale, his parents Hans and Carrie Emberson, and two brothers, Edward and Joseph Emberson, preceded him in death.
