RITES AT GREENWOOD FOR MIS KNUDSON


Greenwood--
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Trondhjem Lutheran Church for Miss Gertrude Signa Knudson, 23, who died Friday, Oct. 8, 1937 at Appleton of injuries suffered in an automobile accident. The Rev. M. K. Aaberg officiated, and burial took place in the Greenwood cemetery.


Among those from a distance who attended the rites were Mrs. L.A. Ark, Mrs. Ed Gaarder, Mrs. Carl Goldberg, Miss Ida Gaarder, and Henry Gaarder, all of Osage Iowa Nyles Manley, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Witt, Mr. and Mrs. Bial Rowsky a daughter, Ruth, Don Purdy, Mrs. DeCoster, Misses Doris Johnson, Doris Everson and Mable Thompson, Roy Griesback, and Robert Lesselyong, all of Appleton.


Miss Knudson was born Oct. 17, 1913, in Carpenter, Iowa, and resided there until her parents moved to Ladysmith, when she was eight years old. Later the family moved to Clark County, and she graduated from the Greenwood High School in 1932. For the past three years she has been employed by the Tuttle Press at Appleton.


Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Knudson, two sisters, Margaret and Nadine, and two brothers, Leonard and Omar. One brother preceded her in death.
