GREENWOOD CITIZEN DIES OF PNEUMONIA
DEATH OF JOHN SIDNEY COX, 63 OCCURS TUESDAY RITES FRIDAY


GREENWOOD--John Sidney Cox
, 63, a resident of Greenwood his entire lifetime, died Tuesday afternoon at 3:35 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, after an illness of five days. Pneumonia was the cause of death.


The Rev. C.R. Gaylord will officiate at the funeral rites which will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Methodist Church in this city. Burial will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mr. Cox was born here on Aug. 29, 1873, received his education in the local schools, and chose carpentry for his life work. He has been retired for a number of years.


His marriage took place here on June 9, 1915, to Miss Minnie Heiking, who survives him. One daughter, Mrs. Lee (Evelyn) Mathews, Madison, and two sons, Hugh Cox, Janesville, and Lawence Cox, Greenwood, also survive.
