CHARLES F. GROW

On Sunday morning, July 25, 1909, at three o'clock, Clark County lost one of its oldest pioneer residents, and one of its best legal lights, in the death of Charles F. Grow, who passed away at his residence in Neillsville at the age of sixty years.

Mr. Grow settled in Colby many years ago when Clark County was in its wildest and most unsettled state, and after a long period of prosperity in that settlement, he moved to Neillsville, where he practiced law for more than twenty years, and was known all over the county as a man of keen ability and strict integrity. Shortly after going to that city, he joined forces with attorney Schuster, which was known as the firm Shuster and Grow.

About two weeks ago Mr. Grow and son, Hall Grow, who survives him, purchased an interest in the Neillsville Times, and with which the son is now connected.

The many friends, who have been in the habit of seeing his genial smile and hearing his hearty greetings, feel the loss of their old friend and advisor deeply and sympathize with the son in his late bereavement. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, with burial at the Neillsville Cemetery.
