MRS. ELDORA DOW


Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., on Monday, March 7, at the Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, for Mrs. Eldora Dow, 71, of Route 2, Greenwood, Clark County, who had lived in Loyal since Sept. She passed away at 6:15 p.m., Friday, March 4, 1977, at the Neillsville Memorial Home.


Rev. Eugene Carlson officiated at the service and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Schultz were the soloist and organist.. burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Eldora Orsburn was born on May 7, 1905, and received her education at the Longwood School. She came to the Longwood Area with her parents at the age of six.


On Nov. 20, 1923, she was married in Chili to Irving Dow. They lived in the Marshfield Area for a number of years, then moved to the Greenwood area, where they farmed until his death in 1968. She then continued to live on the farm until moving to Loyal last September.


She is survived by one son, Robert of Chicago two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Geraldine) Monnier of Chicago, and Mrs. Joyce Perelka of Chicago three brothers, Edward Orsburn of Greenwood, bud Orsburn of Owen, and Ted Orsburn of Marseilles, Ill. three sisters, Mrs. John (Elsie) Kuehn of Marshfield, Mrs. John (Beulah) Ormand of Neillsville, and Mrs. Lester (Dolly) Wetzel of Greenwood eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irving three sisters and one grandchild.


Serving as pallbearers were Robert Dow, Jr., David Johnson, Ted Welsh, Joe Pastor, Duane Vollrath and Fred Fetting. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.
