ERVIN KLICK (1924 - 2000)


Ervin John KLICK, 75, of Thorp, passed away Monday, February 14, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.


He was born April 7, 1924, in Thorp, the son of John and Pearl (KMIECIAK) KLICK. He was raised in the Thorp area.


He was united in marriage to Leona STROINSKI on September 9, 1950, at St. Hedwig's Chapel in Thorp. He worked for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for 25 years.


He was a member of the Thorp Moose Lodge and the Holy Name Society at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Parish in Thorp. He loved to hunt and fish.


He is survived by his wife, Leona a son, Dennis (Donna) of Boyd a daughter, Ann (Robert) LAWCEWICZ of Thorp six grandchildren two brothers, Robert of Thorp and John (Donna) of Crocker, MO two sisters, Mary (Wayne) SONDGEROTH of Thorp and Valeria (Raymond) TECLAW of Thorp.


He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank.


Funeral services will be Friday, February 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp, Fr. John Puerner officiating. Friends may call at the Thorp Funeral Home in Thorp on Thursday, February 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.


Interment will be in St. Hedwig's Cemetery in Thorp. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Thorp Catholic School and to St. Joseph's Catholic School in Boyd.


Thorp Funeral Home in Thorp is in charge of the arrangements.
