J. WALTER HOHL


J. Walter Hohl, 72, 406 E. Schofield, Greenwood, Clark County, was dead on arrival at Neillsville Memorial Hospital at 3:24 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 1987, after having been transported by ambulance.


A memorial service was held Monday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness at Neillsville, with Paul Dragert officiating.
Jacob Walter Hohl was born July 4, 1914 in Greenwood to Edwin and Katherine (Sonderegger) Hohl, and received his education in Greenwood schools. On June 23, 1956, he and Lucille (Ampe) Lydiksen were married in Withee. He had owned and operated Hohl Brothers garage with his brother Fritz and had worked for Wick Homes in Spencer until 1973. He was a veteran of World War II and was a very active member of Jehovah's Witnesses.


Survivors include his wife, Lucille four step-children, Kenneth Lydiksen, Camarillo, Cal. Paulette Lydiksen, Owen Mrs. Keith (Sheila) Noah, Neillsville, and Lynette Lydiksen, at home and one sister, Mrs. Anita Heck, Greenwood.


He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Fritz.


Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled the arrangements.
