NORBERT FRISKE (1916 - 1991)


Norbert Friske, 73, Greenwood, Clark County, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 1991, at Neillsville Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 12, 1991, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood. Rev. Richard Sorenson officiated and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randy Meyer, Dennis Wendt, Maynard Bowe, Charles Butterbrodt, Kenneth Smith and Martin Nigon.


Norbert Friske was born Feb. 2, 1916, in Wilton, Monroe County, to Otto and Clara (nee Drews) Friske. He came to the Greenwood area in 1919, where he farmed all his life. In 1934 he was in CCC Camp for two years. He married Adella Wells June 1, 1940. She survives. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and was on the Tri-State Board of Directors for nine years.


Survivors include his wife two sons, Bernard and David, both of Greenwood two sisters, Mrs. Hershel (Florence) Edwards, Stevens Point and Mrs. Milton (Bernice) Sebastian, New Port Richey, Fla. and three grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his parents and twin brother, Norman.


Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
