Died--Ditton, Sarah (1828 - 1910)
Mrs. Sarah Ditton died Sep. 7, 1910, at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Oscar Fricke, after a lingering illness
of several years.
She was born at Delaware, Ohio, in 1828, and moved to northern
Indiana with her parents when a child. She was married to George
Ditton in 1860. To them were born seven children, four of whom
survive: Mrs. Sarah Miner, of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Mrs. Oscar Fricke
and Mrs. Mattie Rand of this city and on son Frank of
Greenwood.
Short services will be held at the house Friday morning at ten
o'clock after which the remains will be taken to Greenwood and
funeral services held in the Presbyterian church at 2:30 p.m.
Burial will take place in Greenwood cemetery.
