EUGENE CARTERON (24 Aug 1915- 2 Aug 1981)

GREENWOOD--Eugene "Froggy" Carteron, 65, of 302 E. Schofield Ave., died Sunday at his home. He had been released from St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield on Thursday.

Services will be at 10:30 Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. Michael Mertens will officiate.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, and after 7 that evening at the church where there will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friends may also call Wednesday until time of services at the church.

Mr. Carteron was born Aug. 24, 1915 in Greenwood. He married Rita Gaudette Sept. 1, 1945 in Lawrence, Mass. He attended Greenwood Grade School and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1934.

He worked for the John Wuethrich Creamery Co., Inc. as a mechanic for 35 years, retiring on Aug. 1, 1960.

For the past year, he worked part-time for Greg Lindner on his farm in Greenwood.

He was a World War II veteran and a member of the Greenwood American Legion, which will perform full military rites at the funeral.
He is survived by his wife: three sons, Ronald of Carlsbad, NM, Dennis of La Crosse and John at home two daughter, Mrs. Richard (Gail) Ermilio of Naperville, IL and Mrs. Michael (Ritajean) Myers of Galesville two brothers, Viv of Greenwood and Neil of Yucaipa, Calif. and three grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one brother, Lester, and on sister, Yna Mae.

Pallbearers will be Tom Abel. Carl, Greg and Chuck Lindner, Jerry Hinker and Dallas Wuethrich.
