Robert Bugar  (1921 - 2001)


Robert A. Bugar, 80, of Marshfield, died at 2:42 a.m. April 17, 2001, at St. Josephs Hospitals Palliative Care Unit where he had been admitted the previous day.


Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerome G. Gerum will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.


Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. A Knights of Columbus Rosary Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.


Mr. Bugar was born Feb. 9, 1921, in Loyal to Ignatz and Gisela (nee Fitzel) Bugar. He married Theresa R. Dolly Morn-son on June 1, 1948, in Auburndale. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II.


He had been employed as a truck driver in Marshfield and Stevens Point, He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Holy Name Soceity, an Honorary Life member of the Knights of Columbus John Eisen Council 1799 and the American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield.


He is survived by his children, Jerry (Lois) Bugar of Marshfield, Dave Bugar of Mashfield, Tom Bugar of Houston, Texas, Diane (Glenn) Machtan of Marshfield, Jane (Mike) Van Cleave of Mt. Dora, Fla., and Julie Bugar of Neenah four grandsons, Rob Bugar, Brian Bugar, Martin Machtan and Ryan


LaMere. He is further survived by his brothers, Paul (Barbara) Bugar of Loyal, Don Bugar of Loyal and Al (Caroline) Bugar of Eau Claire.


He was predeceased by his wife on Dec. 29, 1999 his parents, four brothers and one sister.
