ROXANNA BUTTERFIELD

The people of this city were surprised and pained Tuesday to hear that Mrs. Joseph Butterfield, of this city, had died on Monday evening of Neuralgia of the heart, at the home of her son Ed in the Town of Weston, Clark County, where she had been removed about ten days before on account of the noise in the city.

She came to Wisconsin with her husband a quite an early day, and had resided on a farm near Christie until the last few years, when she and her husband moved to town. She was somewhat over fifty years old at her death, and leaves a husband, two sons and a host of warm friends to mourn her death.

The funeral was held in the M. E. Church at Christie on Wednesday at 10 o'clock a.m., Rev. Foster preached the funeral sermon, at which a large number of people gathered to pay their last respects to their neighbor and friend.
