Klug, Beatrice R. (19 NOV 1918 - 6 NOV 2012)

Beatrice (Betty) R. Klug, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Ministry St Joseph's Hospital at 6 p.m. Nov. 6, 2012. Betty was the 8th child born of 11 children to Harry and Agnes (Woodward) Rayment in Stanley, WI on Nov. 19, 1918.

After countless moves, the family settled in Taylor County, where she met and married Galen Marcott on May 6, 1939, in Dorchester, WI. She and Galen moved onto the Marcott family farm.

The first few years were spent caring for her bedridden mother-in-law until her death and raising her rapidly growing young family of 4 sons and a daughter. They sold the livestock in 1960. Their marriage sadly ended in divorce in 1964 and Betty remained on the place until 1967.

She married Russell (Bud) Klug of Owen, Wis., on September 30, 1967 and moved to Spencer, Wis. After his retirement, they moved to Abbotsford, where Betty lived until the time of her death.

Betty was a lifelong active member of the Curtiss Alliance Church, where she taught many Sunday school classes and was active in the Ladies Aide. She was an avid gardener, skilled seamstress, and great cook. She also enjoyed traveling and experienced many of our great country's vacation spots.

Betty is survived by her sister, Hazel Eliason of Prairie Farm; her son, Dennis (Betty) Marcott of Holcombe; her daughter, Deborah (Charles) Polzin of Stratford; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by both of her husbands; 5 brothers, 4 sisters, and her sons, Dean Marcott, Dudley Marcott, and Derwood "Duffy" Marcott.

A memorial service will be held at the Curtiss Alliance Church, Curtiss, WI, on Dec 1 at 2 p.m. Condolences may be sent to: Deborah Polzin, 706 N. Weber Ave, Stratford, WI 54484
