Arlene E. Krultz, 78, Greenwood, died on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, with family at her bedside. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood. Rev. Brian Campbell officiated. Burial followed in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Schultz, Tony Persshek, Diane Wildish, Mickey, Krultz and Darlene Zukowski.

Arlene Ethel Thwing was born March 14, 1934, in the town of Worden, rural Stanley, the daughter of Myron and Iva (nee Dimler) Thwing. She was raised and received her education in the Greenwood area, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1952. After completing her education, Arlene worked for 4 years at a bank in Greenwood. She married Walter W. Krultz, on Dec. 29, 1956, in Neillsville. They farmed for many years northwest of Willard until retiring in December of 1980, and building a new home west of Greenwood. She served as the clerk for the town of Eaton for 24 years. Her husband, Walter, died on June 29, 1999. Arlene resided at the Clark County Health Care Center since April 2008. She had many interests, but especially enjoyed woodworking, sewing, crafts, quilting, gardening, canning, cooking and baking. She treasured her time with her grandchildren carving pumpkins, colorinf Easter eggs and baking cookies.

She will be dearly missed by her two children, Lori (Robert) Schultz, Neillsville, and Scott (Barb) Krultz, Neillsville; two granddaughters, Krista and Kaelyn Krultz; and one sister, Elaine Crase, Iola.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; and her brother, Delmar Thwing, in June 2011.
