Rev. Douglas Stewart, pastor of the Missionary Baptist Church at Greenwood, officiated at the funeral services Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Myre Funeral Home for Robert DeWitt Hodge, 41, who died suddenly at his home on route 1, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. Burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery. The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hodge was born Nov. 12, 1920 at Elgin, Neb. and at the age of 16 moved to Park Rapids, Minn. with his parents. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945, after which he returned to Nebraska. He was married May 11, 1946 in Chicago, Ill. to the former Minnie Schliske. In 1950 he moved to a farm north of Loyal. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church at Greenwood.

Survivors include his wife; four sons and four daughters; Tana Kaye of New York; Wayne, James, Lloyd, Paul, Dianne, Judy and Janet, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Ikiff of Norwalk, California and Mrs. Loche Wildon of San Diego, Calif.
