Wilcenski, Norman “Bud” (18 January 1925 - 3 October 2012)

Norman “Bub” Wilcenski, age 87, of Gilman, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at his home. Norman was born January 18, 1925, at home in Gilman, the son of the late Frank & Lucille (Herman) Wilcenski. He grew up in Gilman, graduating from Gilman High School. Norman worked at home on the family farm, and on May 29, 1946, was united in marriage to Letty Grusecki at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. They then moved to the Town of Aurora where they have lived and farmed ever since. Norman was a handy man who could fix everything, enjoyed hunting, and had a good sense of humor.

Norman is survived by his son, Eugene (Patricia) Wilcenski of Sun Prairie; daughter, Gail Wilcenski of Madison; two grandchildren: Jeff (Stephanie) Wilcenski of Sun Prairie and Carol (Michael) Keller of De Forest; great-grandchildren: Tyler Wilcenski, Cameron and Samantha Keller; one sister, Adeline Beck of Ladysmith; and one brother, Raymond Wilcenski of St. Paul, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Letty, in 2005; a brother, Aloise Wilcenski; and a sister, Genevieve Levine.

Services were held Monday, October 8, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, with Fr. John Long officiating. Friends and family called from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church on Monday. Burial followed in the parish cemetery.

Gilman Funeral Service assisted the family with the arrangements.
