Miss Dorothy Grabowski became the bride of Paul Kamis on Saturday, June 18, 1960 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp.  Rev. Henry ??, Eau Claire, performed the ten a.m. Nuptial High Mass.

 

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Grabowski route 3, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kamis, Marshfield.

 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an embroidered silk organza gown featuring short sleeves and Sabrina neckline accented with two white roses at the back on the waist line.  Her cascade bouquet was of pink roses and buds with lily of the valley.

 

Miss Dianne Jessick, Milwaukee, friend of the bride was maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Stella Grabowski, sister of the bride, and Jeanette Nikolai, Stratford, friend of the bride.  Flower girl was Ann Nesja, Grand Forks, N.D., niece of the groom.

 

The bride’s attendants wore gowns of white nylon printed with tiny blue leaves styled with a blue bow in the back.  Their flowers consisted of tea roses, lily of the valley and ivy held in closed white and blue small umbrellas.

 

Don Kamis was his brother’s best man.  Ushers were Glenn Kamis, brother of the groom, Joe Grabowski, brother of the bride and Harry Frozs, Milwaukee, a friend of the groom.  Ring bearer was Teddy Nesja, Grand Forks, N.D., nephew of the groom.

 

A dinner, supper and reception for 300 guests was held at St. Hedwig’s Hall.

 

After a wedding trip to various place in Wisconsin the couple will live at 711 N. Cedar, Marshfield, where the groom is a clerk at the Ace Hardware and the bride is a registered nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
