Szczech, Dolores (30 APR 1960)

 

St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in thorp, was the setting for the wedding Saturday morning, April 30, 1960 of Dolores Szczech and James Paull.  Rev. Francis Disher performed the marriage ceremony at 11:30 o’clock.  Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Szczech of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and Mr. Stanley Paull of Ahmeek, Mich.  The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown fashioned of Chantilly lace and tulle with scalloped neckline and long sleeves that tapered to a point at the wrist.  Her veil was chapel length held to a sequin crown.  The bridal bouquet consisted of pink and white roses.  As the choir sang "On This Day Oh Beautiful Mother," the bride placed a bouquet on the altar of the Blessed Virgin.

 

The bride chose as her bridesmaid, a cousin, Jean Budzinski of Thorp, who was attired in a chapel length gown of light blue nylon organza, fashioned with a very full skirt and crown effect matching headpiece.  She carried a colonial bouquet of pink and white carnations.  Marlene Szczech, sister of the bride, was dressed identical and carried a similar bouquet.  They wore pearl necklaces and earrings, a gift of the bride.

 

The groom chose Jack Ninko of Milwaukee as best man.

 

Little Betty Lou Strzok of Gilman was her cousin’s miniature bride, and Daniel Szczech, brother of the bride, acted as ring bearer.  All the men wore white jackets and black trousers and wore white carnation boutonnieres.

 

The bride’s mother was dressed in a cocoa nylon lace dress with white accessories, and a corsage of yellow roses was pinned at her shoulder.

 

The reception was held at the Legion hall in Thorp int eh afternoon and evening.  Music was furnished by the Nightingales.

 

The couple will make their home at 710 E. Madison St., Milwaukee, Wis., where they are both employed.

 

Out of town guests that attended the wedding were: Mr. Stanley Paull and son Billy, and Mrs. John Harny of Ahmeek, Mich., Mrs. Bob Javoc and Mrs. Harry Haule of Menomonie, Mich.  Mr. and Mrs. John Rogus, Leo and August of Glenview, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Leon Zeck and family of Western Springs, Ill., Mrs. Stanley Stasczuk and family of Elmhurst, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Krych and family of Minneapolis, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. George Badzinski of Hayward, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. David Kraemer of Marshfield, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Joe Badzinski and Patty of Spencer, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Michael Strzok and family of Gilman.  Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Szczech of Evanston, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. James Stephens and family of Waupaca, Wis., Mrs. Charles Block and family of Wittenberg, Wis., Miss Susan Baldeschwiler of Minneapolis, Miss Marlene Oberle of St. Paul, Miss Ann Lapatu, Carol, White, Susan Rusch and friend, and Roland Reginna, all of Milwaukee.
