Lynn (10 November 1911)

 

The Misses Ruby and Gertrude Martin, Lillie Opelt, Bertha and Elda Helm spent Sunday with Miss Adeline Faber.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Kurth and daughter of Jackson are guests at the Henry Sternitzky home.  Mrs. Kurth and Mrs. Sternitzky are sisters.

 

Max Opelt autoed to Marshfiedl Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sternitzky and Mr. and Mrs. Kurth.

 

A number of our farmers are busy pressing hay this week.

 

Will Kurth and family autoed over from the Ridge Saturday and visited with friends in this vicinity.

 

Miss Gertrude Holmes spent several days last week at the George Brooks home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. A. Becker and children, also Mrs. Becker’s sister visited with the formers brother Otto Becker last week.

 

Richard Gotter and family returned last Friday from their visit at Fond du Lac and Potters.

 

Miss Hill left Wednesday evening to attend the teachers’ convention at Milwaukee.

 

Lydia Pusheck spent Saturday with her grandma Mrs. Ed Sternitzky.

 

Henry Sternitzky and family and Mr. and Mrs. Kurth attended the silver wedding at Richard Kurth’s Friday.

 

The Bible reading meeting was held at the J. Altenburg home Wednesday evening.

 

Mrs. Washburn, Mrs. Opelt and Fred Hankey went to Neillsville Friday with Max Opelt in his auto.

 

George and Erwin Brooks and John Ure are busy filling their silos.

 

Arthur Opelt was pleasantly surprised by a number of his friends dropping in to help celebrate his birthday Thursday evening.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Montag and little son Crague spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Garbush.

 

Max Opelt will give a dance at the Lynn bowery next Saturday the 11th.  Music will be furnished by Whitcomb’s Orchestra.

 

Robin Ure returned home from Canada, Sunday.

 

Ruth Lee was visiting Mrs. R. T. Washburn Sunday.

 

Mrs. Henry Sternitzky went to Mosinee Monday to visit her son Robert Sternitzky.
