Mrs. Ferdinand Helm entertained the Carnation Art Club last Thursday.  There were fourteen of the members present.  Although the snow was very deep and the weather very cold, but through the kindness of Mrs. Wm. Sternitzky’s son Raymond, who took the team and big sled and hauled the ladies out there, and Henry Helm hauled them back home.  The afternoon was very pleasantly spent.  Miss Emma Altenburg rendered several pieces of music, vocal and instrumental, and Miss Aredna Helm rendered several instrumental pieces.  A most delicious luncheon was served and we went home light hearted and thankful that we were fortunate enough to have been there.

E.F. Brooks and grandson Craig Montag went to Chippewa Falls last Thursday to visit his daughter, Mrs. R.C. Norman.

A.C.F. Witt went to Granton Monday and brought the mail for several of the Lynn people, there being no mail service here since last Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. R. Brooks entertained Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Washburn for an oyster dinner on Sunday.

There is very little news this cold weather.  Everyone stays at home.
