Shortell, Eleanor (15 SEP 1893 - 6 APR 1960)

Miss Eleanor Shortell, a resident of Route 3, Thorp, Township of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away Tuesday, April 6 (the 6^th is actually a Wednesday) at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley.

She was born in Brule County, S.D., Sept. 15, 1893, the daughter of Pat and Anne Shortell.  From Dakota she moved to Cuba City, Wis. in 1914 and lived there until moving to the Town of Worden in 1918.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Ann Shortell, five brothers, John, Alvin and Vernon at home, Frank of Arpin, Wis., and Dale of Minneapolis; also three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Olson of St. Paul, Mrs. August (Ann) Konsella, and Mrs. Romey (Margie) Konsella, both of Hannibal.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Herbert Hoffman at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at Thorp last Saturday morning and burial was made in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
