Grandma Brooks of Neillsville visited at her son George’s Saturday.

 

August Gotter purchased a new horse just recently.

 

Irving Brooks transacted business at Vesper, Tuesday.

 

Fred Hankey who is threshing on the Ridge spent Sunday with his family.

 

Mrs. August Teatz spent Saturday and Sunday with Marshfield friends.

 

Mrs. Timm after a two months visit with her daughter returned to her home at Chilton.

 

Those from here who attended the dance at Nasonville Friday evening, were Max Opelt and the Misses Ruby and Gertrude Martin, Martha Sternitzky, Lillie Opelt and Robert Gotter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Preston.

 

Miss Leonora Gotter is at Neillsville assisting Mrs. J. Lautenbach in the restaurant for an indefinite time.

 

Miss Grace Bartz called on friends here early this week.

 

Miss Susie Sternitzky is home from Marshfield.

 

Miss Laura Neitzel has accepted a position at Marshfield.

 

Max Opelt autoed to Vesper Sunday with a load of men, on business.

 

A band of Gypsies passed through here Tuesday.  It is well for people to be on the lookout for them, as they will be lingering around this vicinity for some time, camping out at various places.

 

School commenced Monday with Miss Vera Schierholz as teacher.
