Ciolkosz, Joseph (1 DEC 1891 - 28 MAR 1960)

 

Joseph Ciolkosz, 68, Town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) farmer, passed away at the Sacred heart Hospital at Eau Claire March 28, 1960, after a lingering illness.

 

The deceased was born in Poland on Dec. 1, 1891 and came to America in 1895, locating at Chicago, Ill.

 

He was united in marriage to Johanna Kielanovic at Chicago on Jan. 25, 1915.  He resided there with his family and was employed at the International Harvester Co. until his retirement three years ago.

 

In June 1958 the family came to this community and located on a farm in the Township of Thorp, where he resided until death.

 

Surviving him are his wife, Johanna, and his parents, Andrew and Anna Ciolkosz (Cemetery listing shows they died in the 1940’s) of Thorp, one brother, Vincent Ciolkosz of Chicago, one sister, Victoria, Mrs. Louis Konieczny of Broadview, Ill., and many nices and nephews.

 

The funeral took place from the Thorp Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31st, and services were held at St. Mary’s (Czestochowa) Junction at ten o’clock, the Rev. Edward Masalaewicz officiating.  Interment followed in the parish cemetery.  Pallbearers were Jim Vitort, Frank Grendys Jr., Edward Depa, Emil Trubac, John Leja and Harry Smoczyk.
