Patchak, Albert (5 FEB 1894 - 6 FEB 1960)

Albert Patchak, 66, of Cadott, a former resident and cheesemaker in the Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) community, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Chippewa Falls on Saturday, Feb. 6, 1960.

Mr. Patchak was born Feb. 5, 1894 in Philadelphia.  He came to Wisconsin with his parents at an early age and they settled near Withee.  On Oct. 15, 1919 he married Helen Ciolkosz at Junction Church northwest of Thorp (in Clark County).  After their marriage they made the Thorp vicinity their home until 1945 when they moved to Cadott.  Mr. Patchak was a cheesemaker by trade and later was an inspector and field man.

Patchak was a veteran of World War I and received the Purple Heart.  Graveside services Tuesday were held by the Cadott post of the American Legion.

Surviving are his wife; five sons, George of Chicago; Raymond with the Air Force in New Hampshire; Michael and Richard of Cadott, and Jack of Chicago; five daughters, Mrs. Melvin Cook, Oak Park, Ill.; Mrs. Edmund Joswiak, Chicago; Mrs. William Pyzyna, River Grove, Ill.; Mrs. Thomas Mikulski and Mrs. Ted Zimmerman of Chicago; one brother, Joseph of St. Paul, Minn.; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Ciolkosz, Withee; Mrs. Francis Mason, Mrs. Mike Cieslik and Mrs. Frank Cesatsky, all of Chicago, and 21 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, Cadott, with Father Wagner officiating.  Burial was in St. Rose Cemetery.
