Hebert, Francis A. (21 NOV 1942 - 25 MAR 2012)

 

Hebert, Francis A. Hebert, age 69, of Wausau formerly of Unity, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. A mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 30, 2012 at Saint Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Varkey V. Joseph will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church on Friday. Burial will take place at a later date at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Colby. Francis was born November 21, 1942 in Unity, Wisconsin to Francis and Rita (Hennes) Hebert Sr. He received his education at Unity Elementary School and was a 1960 graduate of Colby High School. He then enlisted in the US Navy in 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1963. Francis resided in Eugene, Oregon until a car accident left him institutionalized in 1963, when he moved back home and has been in various group homes since. Francis enjoyed playing cards, music, watching western movies, making people laugh, he also loved to sing and spend time with family. Francis is survived by his siblings; Gerald (Elaine) Hebert of Neshkoro, Sister Betty Hebert of La Crosse, Carol Jean Kosier of Stanley, Rose (Duane) Peterson of Neillsville, Joe (Pauline) Hebert of Marshfield and Dan (Nancy) Hebert of Arizona City, AZ and many nieces and nephews. Francis is preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Toni Weis and Ginny Borchardt and brother; Richard Hebert.
