North Jackson County (30 December 1965)

 

Lance Corp. Richard Ransom is spending a Christmas furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ransom.  Dick is a member of the Marine Corps, stationed at El Toro, Santa Ana, Cal.

 

David Hayden is a patient in Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, where he underwent knee surgery Thursday to correct an injury received while a member of the Lincoln High School football squad. Dave is a student at River Falls State University.

 

Scotty Smith enjoyed a week’s vacation from his railroad duties at Wisconsin Rapids.  He returned there Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sliter spent Christmas day with relatives in Black River Falls.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Skaar of Racine spent the Christmas weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Skaar and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Laufenberg, in Alma Center.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Manley Stuve of Humbird were Christmas Day dinner guests at the Gibson Gile home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ransom of Eau Claire spent the Christmas holiday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ransom, and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sanford in Black River Falls.

 

George Geisler, Jr., spent a Christmas furlough with his father, George Geisler, Sr., and his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harland Larson, in Alma Center.  George Jr., is stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

 

A number of our residents attended the Christmas concert at Lincoln High School on Tuesday evening.  The presentation was directed by Charles White, band instructor, and Miss Mayme Brehm of the vocal department.

 

Mrs. Mike Hagen and Dick, Altoona visited the H. K. Anderson and Mrs. Nellie Hagen homes Wednesday afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Demaski and Linda spent Christmas weekend at the Harry Demaski, Sr. home in La Valle.

 

Mrs. Fern Hoffman and Dorothy Rosier spent Christmas weekend in Eau Claire at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Art Blodgett.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stuve and family of St. Louis, Mo., spent the Christmas week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gibson Gile, and Mr. and Mrs. Manley Stuve in Humbird.

 

Christmas dinner guests at the Roy Loomis home were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rousey and family of Alma Center, and Mr. Dorotha Rousey.

 

Darlene Anger of Milwaukee spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Anger.
