Miss Joyce May Neeb became the bride of Walter Wetzel in a ceremony in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville, at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 26.  The Rev. Norman Lindoff officiated.  The church organist played for the wedding and a lady from the choir sang.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Neeb of Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Wetzel of Neillsville.

When Miss Neeb was presented for marriage by her father she wore a floor length gown of white French illusion lace with ruffled back and a finger tip veil attached to a crown like headpiece.  Her jewelry was a necklace and earrings of pearl and her flowers were a cascade arrangement of yellow centered, white orchid surrounded by pink roses.

The maid of honor, Miss LaVaun Neeb, Dodge Center, Minnesota, sister of the bride and the bridesmaid, Miss Hazel Wetzel, Neillsville, sister of the groom, wore floor length gowns of gold Chantilly lace, with bow style hats, and carried cascade bouquets of gold and bronze mums and white carnations.  The junior bride, Miss Pamela Wolfe of Loyal, wore a gown styled identically as the bride’s gown.

Raymond Wetzel, Neillsville, was best man for his brother and Herbert Wagner, Neillsville was groomsman.

Ushers were Neil Neeb, Loyal, brother of the bride and Ronald Methack, Neillsville, cousin of the groom.  Melvin Nemitz, Neillsville, cousin of the broom was ring bearer.

The bride, a graduate of the Loyal High School, has been employed at the Rellis IGA store in Loyal and the groom, a graduate of the Neillsville High school is a farmer and self employed.

A wedding dinner was served at St. John’s Lutheran School, Neillsville.

Both the bride’s mother and groom’s mother wore dresses of navy blue and the flowers in their corsages matched the flowers in the bride’s bouquet.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wetzel will make their home on route 3 Neillsville.

Guests were from Loyal, Milwaukee, Neillsville, Wisconsin Rapids, Greenwood, Riplinger, Horican, Stanley, Dorchester, Boscobel, Bloomington,  Wheeler, Fox Lake, Neosha, and Kenosha, Wis.; Chicago, Illinois; and Dodge Center, St. Charles and Elgin Minnesota.
