Alton, Mary (8 MAR 1869 - 17 DEC 1963)

Final rites for Mrs. Charles Alton were held at 9:00 o’clock Friday morning, Dec. 20, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen.  Father H.L. Crubel read the service and interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Minus Munson, William Warns, Lionel Thibbert, James Boylan, John Greschner and Emory Sorenson.

Mrs. Alton had been a resident of the Owen and Withee Communities (Clark Co., Wis.) for more than 50 years.  The last five years she had been a resident of the Havenet Nursing Home, Owen, where she passed away Dec. 17, 1963, suffering from complications associated with old age.

She was 94 years of age, being born March 8, 1869.

In 1902 she united to her husband, the late Charles Alton, who preceded her in death, having passed away in 1935.  Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Her passing is mourned by a nephews, Frank Tormey of Withee.
