Washburn (2 September 1965)

 

Mrs. Harold Elmendorf and granddaughter, Carrie Sexton, of Seattle, Wash., spent a few days last week visiting relatives in Gilman. Her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Herman of Gilman, and Randy and Jimmie Savasta of Thorp, brought them back to the Ralph Short home Friday afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hintz spent from Monday until Thursday last week visiting relatives in Cambria, Randolph, Beaver Dam, Fox Lake and Castle Rock Lake.

 

Mrs. Frank Short and Mrs. Ed Short were dinner and supper guests Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Art Short near Granton.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Kegley, sons, Kenny, Jeff and Dale, and daughter, Lori, of Honey Creek, spent from Sunday until Tuesday with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short. They were returning from a week’s vacation near Rhinelander and Merrill, where they also visited relatives of Mrs. Kegley. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kapfer visited Sunday afternoon at eh Herman and Bert Schultz home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lindow visited at the Von der Ehe home Saturday night.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Sr., visited at the Donald Havlicek home one evening last week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Feutz and family of Wisconsin Rapids visited Tuesday night with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christ Feutz.  Mr. and Mrs. Feutz returned home from Greeley, Colo., where he attended summer school at Greeley University.  He received a master’s degree. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Gallion and family of Minneapolis, and Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Lindow and family of Illinois, spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lindow.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kuhn and sons spent Sunday with her brother, John Trogner, Jr., and family of Black River Falls, and helped their son, Scottie celebrate his birthday.

 

Mrs. Harold Elmendorf and Carried Sexton of Seattle spent Saturday afternoon at the Elmer Kapfer home and were supper guests there.  Mrs. Carl Von deer Ehe called there Saturday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Reinart spent the weekend at Wind Lake with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schultz and at Milwaukee with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Schultz. They attended the wedding of his nephew, Alfred Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schultz, to Judith Ann Vander Boom, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Franklin. They also attended the wedding breakfast and reception.  Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dahnert assisted with the chores during their absence.

 

Mrs. Paul Kuhn was a dinner and supper guest Sunday at the George Allbaugh home.  Mrs. Donald Kalsow and family, Mrs. Ed Short and Mr. and Mrs. Jess Wilding were supper guests.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Matousek and Mr. and Mrs. Dodmead called at the Mrs. Art Odell home Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kuhn attended a meeting in Eau Claire Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short, Mrs. Harold Elmendorf and Carrie Sexton called at the Mrs. Ed Short and Jess Wilding homes one afternoon last week.
