DAHLKE-LINGL WEDDING IN SPENCER ON APRIL 23

The marriage of John Dahlke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Dahlke, Edgar, to Miss Emma Mary Lingl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lingl, Spencer, was solemnized at Christ the King church in Spencer at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 1941, Rev. Joseph Graf officiating.

The bride wore a dress of white sparkle velveray on starched chiffon and a white veil of floor length.  She carried a bouquet of white Easter lilies with large shower.  Her attendants were her sisters, Miss Agnes Lingl, maid of honor, who wore a dress of pink net, and Miss Velma Lingl, bridesmaid, in a dress of blue taffeta.  Both wore finger tip veils and a corsage of sweet peas and carnations.  Dorothy Dahlke, Edgar, acted as flower girl, and Nancy Mech, Edgar carried the bride’s veil.  The groom was attired in a blue suit and wore white carnations.

A reception was given in the church parlor, which was decorated in pink, blue and white with candles and flowers.  Dinner was served to 65 guests.  The bride is well known in Spencer and has been employed at Hotel Charles in Marshfield.  The groom is engaged in farming and trucking.  After May 1 the young couple will be at home to their friends in Edgar.
