Pagelsdorf, Darlene (24 May 1958)

Miss Darlene Mae Pagelsdorf and Roy H. Cook, route 3, were married Saturday afternoon at 1 o’clock by the Rev. Wendell Bennetts in Loyal Methodist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Pagelsdorf and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cook, all of route 1, are parents of the bridal couple.

Mrs. Byron Zepplin, accompanied by Miss Nelda Foelske, sang," I Love You Truly" and "Because."

Approaching the Altar, which was decorated with apple blossoms, on her father’s arm, Miss Pageldorf was wearing a white floor-length gown of nylon tulle over satin. Alternating lace and tiers ended in a chapel train. A roseprint lace bodice featured long fitted sleeves. Her finfer-tip veil fell from a rhinestone and pearl tiara. A cascade bouquet of two lavender orchids with white carnations and stephanotis completed her attire.

Miss Patriccia Pagelsdorf, Loyal was maid of honor. Brodesmaids were Mrs. Gene Cook of Edgerton, and Mrs. Reuben Switlick of Milwaukee. They wore dresses of orchid-colored nylon sheer over nylon net in waltz-length with full skirts, Sabrina necklines and cap sleeves. Their flowers were white and orchid colored carnations and stephanotis.

Gene Cook, Edgerton, attended his brother as best man. Clifford Olson, Marshfield, and Reuben Switlick, Milwaukee, were groomsmen.

Wayne Hendrickson of Unity and Lee Cook, Loyal, did ushering duties.

A reception immediately following the wedding ceremony was held at the bride’s home. A dinner at 4:30 p.m. and a dance were held at Riverview Ballroom, Stratford.

The new matron was graduated from Loyal High School and is receptionist at Berg Equipment Co. Marshfield. Her husband graduated from Loyal High School and is employed by S & S Chevrolet Garage, Marshfield.

After a southern honeymoon they will make their home on Route 3, Marshfield.
