Harding, Janice Darlene (Marriage - 17 July 1965)

Nuptial vows were repeated Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church in Granton by Miss Janice Darlene Harding, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Harding of Marshfield, and Richard Paul Drescher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Drescher of Rt. 1 Neillsville.  The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. C. Benecke before an altar banked with baskets of white gladioli and blue carnations. The pews were marked with white bows.

The bride given in marriage by her father chose for her wedding a floor-length gown of Chantilly lace of over taffeta.  Unpressed pleats formed a semi-full skirt, which was accented in the back by a detachable lace train, fastened at the shoulders with a lace bow. The fitted bodice was enhanced with a jewel trimmed scallop neckline.  Her headpiece was an ornate crown of tulle, studded with iridescent stats and oat pearls, to which was attached a fingertip veil of bridal illusion.  Her bouquet was a modified cascade arrangement of red roses and stephanotis, with green leaves and ivy.

Miss Carol Drescher, sister of the groom; was maid-of-honor.  Bridesmaid was Miss Shirley Kramp of Marshfield.

The attendants wore floor length gowns of Venus blue chiffon over matching taffeta.  The sleeveless gowns featured scoop necklines and fitted bodices.  Flowing from the waists, the modified bell skirts were accented in the back with a double Watteau sash of complimenting fabric and color. The Venus blue headpieces were fashioned with a rose and bouffant veils of matching color.

The attendants bouquets were colonial nosegays of white feathered carnations accented with pale yellow leaves and aqua lace.

Bill Hoeft of Granton was best man.  Groomsman was Harold Snortheim of Arpin. Ushers were Ronnie and Bruce Ratsch.

Misses Colleen and Connie Montgomery sang, "O Perfect Love" and "The Wedding Prayer" accompanied by Mrs. Lee Garbisch.

Mrs. Drescher is a 1961 graduate of Marshfield High School and is employed in Marshfield.  Mr. Drescher, a 1959 graduate of Neillsville High School, Is employed as parts man in a plant in Minneapolis, Minn.

Mr. and Mrs. Drescher will reside at 6335 Lyndale Ave., Minneapolis, on their return from a wedding trip in northern Wisconsin.
