Auberg, Bertha (15 JAN 1891 - 4 SEP 1963)

 

A pioneer resident of the Withee area (Clark Co., Wis.), Mrs. Bertha Auberg, who spent all but three of her 72 years here, succumbed to a lingering illness of more than three years, Sept. 4, 1963.  Relief from her long suffering came to her at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire where she was being treated.

 

Funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon, Sept. 14, from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.  Rev. Byrl Knudsen, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee, read the final rites, with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.  Five grandsons and a nephew served as pallbearers and six granddaughters were in charge of the floral tributes.

 

During the service vocal selections were rendered by Mrs. Kenneth Phillips, with Mrs. Lester Hansen serving as accompanist.

 

Mrs. Auberg, nee Bertha Anderson, was born Jan. 15, 1891.  On Sept. 19, 19109, she and Adolph Auberg exchanged wedding vows at Stanley.  He preceded her in death, passing away in 1936.  She is also preceded in death by three sons, Roy, Gordon and Harold, and a daughter, Mildred.  Mourning her passing are two sons, Bernard, Withee, and Anton, Eau Claire; one daughter, Mrs. Martin (Laura) Paulson, Withee; two brothers, Elmer Anderson, rural Owen, and Milton Anderson, rural Withee; four sisters, Mrs. Hilda Pederson, route 2, Owen, Mrs. Alice Englehart, West Allis, Mrs. Ruth Andress and Mrs. Julia Hansen, Milwaukee; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
