Dudei, Arnold W. (8 February 1897 - 26 May 1965)

 

A number of people from the area attended the funeral services in Berlin May 29, for Arnold W. Dudei, 68, a former resident of this area who died of an apparent heart attack at his home in Berlin on May 26.  Burial was made in Oakwood Cemetery, Berlin, following services from St. John’s Lutheran Church there.

 

Among the area people attending were: Mrs. Elgar King, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dollose, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Mech and Mrs. Fred Appleyard, all of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Hans Kalsow, Martin and Raymond Kalsow, all of Globe.  Others included Mrs. Emma Kelsey and son, George, of St. Paul, Minn.; William Dollose of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Hilmer Dudei of Plainfield; and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dudei of Rice Lake.

 

Mr. Dudei was born February 8, 1897, at Globe, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Dudei.  His marriage to the former Esther Dollose took place at Globe November 21, 1918.

 

They moved to Berlin 21 years ago from this area and had made their home there since. He was employed for a time with the Carnation Milk Company, and later with the Berlin Glove Company, until his retirement five years ago.

 

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Erma) Johnson and Mrs. Robert (Janet) Nigbor, both of Berlin; a son, Hilmer, of Plainfield; a brother Ben of Rice Lake; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
