Hill, Barbara (20 JUL 1963)

Pink and white gladiolas adorned the altar at the Missionary Alliance Church in Owen when Miss Barbara Joyce Hill, daughter of Mrs. Carl Hill of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) and the late Carl Hill, became the bride of Dale Floyd Bush, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bush of Owen, on Saturday, July 20 at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon.  The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Ben Hill, and the Rev. Darrel Bush, a brother of the groom, performed the wedding ceremony.  Mrs. Darrel Bush was organist, with Mrs. Duane Newman, vocalist, rendering the selections "O Promise Me" and "Together Life’s Pathway We Tread.

The bride wore a floor length Chantilly lace gown which featured a jeweled trimmed bateau neckline with a fitted bodice and long tapered sleeves and a full hoop skirt of lace over taffeta, net ruffles and nylon tulle.  Her fingertip French illusion veil was secured to a princess crown of pearls.  She carried a cascade bouquet of light pink roses and wore a sing strand of pearls.

Miss Nancy Hill, sister of the bride from Withee, was the maid of honor.  The bridesmaid was Miss Wanda Bush, the groom’s sister from Owen.

They wore identical street length dresses in aqua, fashioned of chiffon over taffeta with a draped bodice and bateau neckline.  A cummerbund topped the fully gathered skirt, matching half crowns of pearls were their headpieces, with a face veil.  They carried one pale pink rose with long streamers to match their dresses.

Attending the grooms was Jerry Lindgren of Withee as best man, and Harvey Moore of Neillsville as groomsman.  They wore white dinner jackets with black trousers and bow ties.  Jerry Hill and Jimmy Hill, cousins of the bride, were ushers.

The bride’s mother chose for the wedding a navy blue mesh dress with white accessories.  Her corsage was four pink Garnett roses with white feathered carnations.

The groom’s mother attended the wedding in a beige dress with accessories to match and her corsage was also four pink Garnett roses with white feathered carnations.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors.

Guests attended the wedding from Owen, Withee, Alma Center, Black River Ralls, Neillsville, Madison, Waunakee, DeKalb, Ill, and Minneapolis, Minn.

The bride attended the Owen-Withee Seniro High School and has been employed in Owen.

The groom attended the Neillsville High School and is employed at the Frederick Post Company, Owen.

After a two week honeymoon trip which took them out West, they will be at home to their friends in Withee.
