Reinhard, Frank (30 April 1885 - 22 April 1965)

 

Frank Reinhard, 79, of Bloomer and a former Neillsville resident, died Thursday in Bloomer Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday morning from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville, of which he was a member. The Rev. Fr. Bernard T. Kelly officiated.  Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

A general rosary service was held Friday evening at the Georgas Funeral home at 8 o’clock, followed at 8:30 by a rosary service by the Knights of Columbus.

 

Mr. Reinhard was born April 30, 1885, in Green Bay, the son of the late Frank and Catherine (Boffer) Reinhard. He grew to manhood and was educated in that area.  He was married to Elizabeth Murphy in Arwell, Vt., and after their marriage they moved to the Neillsville area, where for a shot time he was employed by a local dairy.

 

Later he was one of the founders of  the Neillsville Garage, in the building housing the Urban Sales & Service.  He was associated in business in Neillsville for about 30 years.  His first wife died in 1940.

 

On October 31, 1955, he was married to the former Lavina Knowlton in Neillsville.  Mr. and Mrs. Reinhard moved to Florida following their marriage, living there for eight years before returning to Bloomer two years ago, where he had resided until the time of his death. 

 

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Florence) Baer of Marshfield; five grandchildren; a sister, Carrie, address unknown; and four brothers, Bernard, Sylvester, Aloysius and Anthony, all of Green Bay.

 

Mr. Reinhard was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, Catholic Order of Foresters and Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.

 

Pallbearers were: Everett P. Skroch, John Bergemann, Robert Horswill, Frank Svetlik, Howard Sturtz and Elliot Warlum.

 

People from out of town attending the funeral were: Mrs. Frank Reinhard, Mrs. Margaret Hart, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Boese, Mrs. Darwin Cobal, Mrs. Gary Boese and Libby Smetna of Bloomer; Mr. and Mrs. Ray T. Baer and family of Marshfield; Robert Baer of Appleton; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Reinhard, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Reinhard, and Mrs. Lester Jacques of Green Bay; Mrs. Carl Olson of Altoona; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brooks of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Farrall of Madison; and Mr. and Mrs. William Baer of Wisconsin Rapids.
