B. Tykac had a well drilled on his place just west of here last week.

 

Deer hunting season starts next Tuesday, Nov. 11th.

 

Ben Stubbs and son Arthur are home from Sidney, Mont. since Wednesday.

 

Harold Hiles went to Clifford, Price County, Wednesday on a pleasure and hunting trip.

 

Mrs. Eugene Crandall left yesterday for Chester, S.D. to visit her cousin, Mrs. W.H. Drake, who is ill.

 

Mrs. Frank Davis, Mrs. Ara Lee and Mrs. Webb Winn spent Wednesday afternoon with friends at Chili.

 

Miss Gladys Wage will entertain the O.E.S. Birthday club tomorrow, Saturday afternoon.

 

Reinhold Wischuelke, Ed Strey Sr. and Fred Gerber transacted business at the county seat Wednesday.

 

Mrs. F.J. Baer was engaged with abstract work at the county seat last Friday.

 

Harry Eide found a hat east of the fairgrounds the other day.  The owner can have same by calling at his creamery.

 

Mrs. Fred Bredlau of Loyal has been a guests at the Ben Dudei home since Monday, assisting in the wedding preparations for her nice, Miss Lydia Worchel.

 

Mrs. Wesley Armstrong and daughter Lauretta came over from Chili Wednesday and are spending the balance of the week with the Willis Williams family.

 

Mrs. Oscar Doughty of Milwaukee is here since Wednesday visiting between the Willis William, Amelia Converse and Henry Williams homes.

 

Reinhold Rossow of Raleigh, N.D., arrived here last week Wednesday and remained until Monday visiting between the Chas. Bass and Carl Krause homes, since which time he is visiting at the Fred Wehrmann home in the town of Loyal.

 

Harold Riedel of Cayuga came down Wednesday to attend his cousin Miss Lydia Worchel’s wedding the next day.

 

Attela Leatherdale and family vacated their farm at Spokeville last week, since which time they are residents of the village of Loyal.

 

E.D. Dierachs had the thumb and first finger of his left hand cut off in a corn shredder at the Jake Schafer farm in the town of York last week Wednesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Dan Rausch and son Roderick, Mrs. E.R. Wonser and daughter Elizabeth, Mrs. A.J. Knorr and Mrs. W.B. Davis, Mrs. H. Berg and Mrs. Eugene Crandall, Mrs. F.J. Baer and Miss Lillie Shapiro took advantage of the nice weather Wednesday afternoon and autoed to Neillsville.

 

Miss Martha Breseman went to Neenah Wednesday where she has secured pleasant employment.  Theo. Breseman, her father, accompanied her and after a short visit at Neenah he will go to Washington Co. and spend some time before returned here.

 

 The second number of the Granton Lecture Course, a lecture by Mr. Elliott, last Tuesday night was well attended, but from all reports the majority of this audience was not enthusiastic in praise of this number.  But cheer up, Burgderfer will be here December 6th.
