Wolf, Virginia Mae (30 May 1959)

On a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park are Marlin R. Schmitz and his bride, the former Virginia Mae Wolf, who were married Saturday morning, May 30, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal.  The Rev. Father Norbert King officiated at the nuptials.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wolf, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. William Schmitz, Spencer.

The bride wore a floor-length bridal gown of nylon tulle over satin.  French imported lace drifted from the nylon yoke of the molded bodice into wide panels on the bouffant skirt.  A mandarin collar of lace topped off the outfit.  Seed pearls trimmed the lace cap to which was attached a finger-tip veil of imported illusion net finished with a hand rolled edge.  She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Honor attendant for her sister was Mrs. Kenneth Marvin of Evansville, Wis.  The other aides were the groom’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Leroy Schmitz of Spencer, and Miss Jeanette Lindner, Loyal.  Their gowns were ballerina length formals of white nylon sheer with embossed nile green flowers.  They carried colonial bouquets of nile green and white carnations.

Best man was Leroy Schmitz of Spencer, brother of the groom, and Byron Moen of Marshfield was groomsman.  Ushers were Eldred Tesmer of Spencer and Norman Wolf, Loyal, brother of the bride.

St. Anthony’s choir furnished the music.

Brunch and dinner were served at St. Anthony’s Church.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, and a dance was given at the Silver Dome.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School and is a registered histologist in the laboratory at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

The groom attended the Loyal High School and is engaged in farming on route 1 Granton, where the couple will live.

For the marriage rites the bride’s mother wore a light blue lace topped dress and jacket with white accessories.  The groom’s mother wore a beige and white print dress and jacket.

Wedding guests were present from Loyal, Greenwood, Marshfield, Auburndale, Spencer, Chili, Neillsville, Waukesha, Milwaukee, Chicago, Eagle, and Madison.
