Horehled, Carol Stephanie (Marriage - 22 August 1964)

The pews of the Calvary Lutheran Church were decorated with white satin bows and white gladioli for the wedding last Saturday of Miss Carol Stephanie Horehled, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Horehled, of Rt. 3, Neillsville, and Roger A. Krause, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Krause, Jr., of Rt. 2, Granton.

Performing the double ring ceremony before an altar banked with bouquets of white gladioli was the Rev. Evan Dieck, pastor of the Zion American Lutheran churches of the towns of Grant and Pine Valley,

As the bride approached the altar with her father, who gave her in marriage, she was attired in a luxurious floor length gown of re-embroidered Alencon lace and bridal bouquet taffeta. A scalloped neckline and elbow length sleeves accented the fitted Basque bodice. The slim skirt was styled with a chapel length train of bridal bouquet taffeta, held at the waist by a flat bow.  She wore a crown of lace adorned with pearls which held her bouffant veiling.  She carried a cascade arrangement of pink roses and white stephanotis.

Miss Helen Horehled was her sister’s maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Helen Mech, and Mrs. Richard Quast of Neillsville, and Mrs. Wayne Kurth of Johnson Creek.

Michael Kurth of Granton was bestman. Groomsmen were: Dennis Mech and Richard Quast of Neillsville, and Wayne Kurth of Johnson Creek.  Ushers were Larry Beyer of Wisconsin Rapids and Glenn Kurth of Granton.

Mrs. E. G. Burtness, at the organ, accompanied Carol Moen, as she sang, "The Wedding Prayer" and "To Thee, Our Father God, We Bow."

A reception followed the ceremony in the dining hall of the church, and was attended by 150 guests. The table centerpieces consisted of floral arrangements in champagne glasses, centered with pink candles. The bride’s table was decorated with the traditional wedding cake, crystal candelabra and bouquets of pink roses.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and the Vocational, Technical and Adult School in Eau Claire. She has been employed as secretary at the Vocational School in Eau Claire.  Mr. Krause, also a graduate of Neillsville High School, is employed in construction work in Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Krause are honeymooning at Wisconsin Dells.  After September 1, they will reside in Marshfield.
