Anybody is liable to make a mistake in color that has poor eyes.

 

Corn binders are the order of the day this year because there is a good harvest in sight and the number of silos is increasing very fast this year.

 

Several car loads of stock were shipped from here this week.

 

Miss Vivian Degener and Otis Ferrell are attending the Marshfield High School this year.

 

L.A. Allen visited his mother at Augusta from Saturday until Monday.

 

School will commence Monday with Miss Gladys Wage as teacher.

 

Mrs. Henry Prust left Teusday morning on the limited for Canada, to stay with her daughter, Mrs. Dan Cattanach.

 

Mrs. A.W. Wendorf was at Marshfield Tuesday on business.

 

Louis Reichert returned from his vacation Sunday morning.

 

Adolph Voight has commenced on his wall for his new house 5 miles southeast of here.  He will build a house with a factory room below for making cheese.

 

Harry Eide received second prize on his cheese at the Marshfield fair.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Anton Schuster were here to visit with Mrs. Prust last week before she left.  While here they hauled Mrs. Schuster’s piano to the depot to have it shipped to Stratford.

 

Quite extensive improvements have been made this year so that our schoolhouse will be a model school building.  It is to be hoped that the social center will be kept up this years.  It has proved to be quite entertaining and instructive.

 

Mrs. Kerkof and A. Verhagen had their grain separated this week.

 

In a few weeks more the Lutheran Church building will be finished, adding another building to the village.

 

Pratt Dawes is going right along with his building, and will have it finished before snow flies.

 

Chas. Fenske bought a corn binder also.  He is putting up a silo now.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Thode Harriman are mourning the death of their youngest child, a little boy of but a few months of age, who died very suddenly after little more than a day’s illness.  The funeral was held Wednesday.

 

Mrs. Frank Davis was over from Granton to attend the funeral of baby Harriman.
