Ryll, Charles (12 DEC 1893 - 17 SEP 1961)

Although he had been aware of a heart condition which he had respected for the past five or six years, Charles Ryll, rural Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was suddenly and fatally stricken when he suffered an attack at his home at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 1961.

Relatives and friends mourning his loss paid their final respect to him at burial services held yesterday at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.  Harold Miller was the officiant, with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were L.H. Munson, Alfred Molle, Joe Schindler, Henry Weiner, Norman Geisler and Ralph Kramer.  In charge of the floral offerings were Mrs. Ralph Kramer, Caroline and Betty Geisler and Evelyn Welczik.

Born Dec. 12, 1893 in Poland, Charles Ryll had attained the age of 67 years, 10 months and 5 days at the time of his passing.  He came to the U.S. as a youth and on the 22nd of February, 1922, was united in marriage to Tillie Softer in Chicago, Ill., where he worked as a cabinet maker.  The couple came to this community in 1928, settling on a farm in the Town of Hixon, where they resided until their retirement a short time ago.

Survivors include his wife, one son, Randall of rural Withee, two grandchildren and two sisters who live in Germany.
