Hance Sparks is helping his father put up hay.

 

The blueberry pickers who went to Prey berry picking last week did not have very good luck as the berries were scarce.

 

Alma Wittcamp came home from Chicago to help at home the rest of the summer.

 

Mrs. Ralph Doughty of Grand Rapids visited her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Chas. Gall, last week.

 

Mr. Johnson traded horses with Ross Paulson last week.

 

Ruby Ziemendorf returned from Grand Rapids Saturday where she had been visiting her sister.

 

The M.M. Tompkins and H. Davis families of Granton were seen driving through here last Sunday.

 

The bride crew is working on the bridge near Jim Field’s now.

 

Bill Sultrecht of Granton visited old friends in Sherwood Sunday.

 

Mr. Bender, our storekeeper, is doing a rushing business these days.  Ethel Galbreath of Granton is helping in the store.

 

Wonder when there will be some nice hay weather.  It certainly is bad, went and cold weather for farmers.

 

Gib Bender went to Pittsville last Tuesday after a load of goods.

 

Chas. Wallace went through town one day last week on his way to Shortville to make hay on his farm.
