Carl Mundt Sr. of Chili transacted business here on Monday.

 

Miss Alma Wittcamp came home Tuesday after an eight month absence in Chicago.

 

Fred Garbush and Rev. Hasz are at Sheboygan since Tuesday on a week’s business and pleasure trip.

 

Mrs. Ed Grob of Wausau is here since Tuesday on a week’s visit with Mrs. Jos. Reiff.

 

Richard Anding of Altoona joined his wife here Tuesday.  Mrs. Anding went home with him the next day.

 

Mrs. Adolph Schlinsog visited at Ernest Neinas’ near Chili early this week.

 

Miss Helene Anding came home from Altoona, Friday.

 

Mrs. Chas. Hayden spent the past week at Chili.

 

Mrs. Floyd Winn spent Saturday afternoon at Marshfield.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moldenhauer visited Neillsville relatives late last week.

 

Mrs. Woodward of Neillsville made a weekend visit here with Mrs. Baer.

 

Mrs. J.P. Johnson is visiting relatives at Good Thunder, Minn. since Tuesday.

 

Mrs. August Schmoll will entertain the Ladies Aid of Rev. Reiff’s parish next Wednesday.

 

Ella Ackerman is on a 2 week visit at Herman Roehl’s in Chili since Monday.

 

W.B. Wentworth of Edgerton is here since Monday visiting his son Rush.

 

Meisner and crew of masons are laying the stone foundations for J. Bladl’s buildings.

 

Myron Osgood, little Maurine Davis and Frant Osgood were Neillsville visitors on Saturday.

 

Mrs. A.J. Knorr went to Alma Center last Tuesday on a several days visit with friends at that place.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Squires and baby Glen of Marshfield are visiting at the Machel home in South Grant since Saturday.

 

Mrs. J.H. Frank and Albert Mundt of Altoona came up last Friday and remained until Monday, guests at the Philip Breseman home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Machel came home from Stevens Point Tuesday.  Mr. and Mrs. Albert Machel met them here at the depot.

 

Mrs. James Flinn of Merrillan spent Monday here with her brother George Budge and his wife at their uncle, W.P. budge’s home.

 

Miss Adela Radmer of Champagne, Ill. is visiting at the Albert Gentz home in the town of Lynn since Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Davies and daughter Elizabeth, after a several days visit at the Wm. Zorn family, left for their home in Minneapolis on Monday.

 

Will Churchill came up from Milwaukee last week Thursday and remained over Sunday, a guest of the P.J. Kemmeter family.

 

Miss Gladys Wage is attending summer school in Superior and visiting Mr. and Mrs. Norman Pierce at Duluth two weeks since.

 

David Steele’s seven children have been entertaining the whooping cough for the past two weeks and they have, during all that time, the individual attention of their mother.  Dave Says they keep him busy too, outside of the time he must of necessity, devote to business.

 

Frank Bender may have escaped a "ducking" in Marshfield the 4th, but he didn’t get away from there without bringing a duckling home with him. Frank and his duckling arrive here all O.K. Saturday.

 

The Albert Davis, John Pietenpol, Price Lee farm home were the scenes of great festivities the 4th when a large number of relatives and friends were entertained at each place.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Garvin and baby Levi sutoed down from Loyal Tuesday in response to a telegram announcing the sudden death of his brother, John Garvin, at Spokane, Wash., and took the evening train enroute to Spokane.
