Mr. and Mrs. Herman Tiel, Mrs. Cattner and grandmother of Nasonville, visited a day last week at the O.W. Becker home.

 

Jim Sternitzky of Marshfield is visiting his daughter Mrs. J. Breseman this week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Max Opelt and Mr. and Mrs. L. hale autoed to Neillsville Monday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Wentworth.

 

Paul Beil, with a helper, is painting the O.W. Becker residence and creamery.

 

Mrs. John Breseman and Miss Agnes Krause were shopping in Neillsville Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Riedel have moved onto the Stubbs farm.

 

Raymond Brooks, who has been attending state university at Madison, returned home Friday for vacation.

 

Lynn School closed Friday with a picnic in Lynn Park.

 

Mrs. E. Shierholtz and daughter Bessie of Reedsburg, visited Miss Vera Shierholtz and Mrs. J. Martin the latter part of last week, returning home Saturday.  Miss Vera accompanied them for her summer vacation.

 

The ballgame played here Sunday between Granton and Nasonville, scored 7 to 10 in favor of Nasonville.  A large crowd took in the sights and Neillsville was well represented.

 

Those from here who transacted business at Marshfield last week were Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Helm and Mrs. Chas. Helm, Mr. and Mrs. J. Altenburg and son John, and Ernest Montag.

 

Henry Grassman of Marshfield spent Sunday at this place.

 

R.T. Washburn autoed to Marshfield with a load from Lindsey to attend the Sparks Circus last Friday.

 

The Lautenbach’s with their machine are sawing wood for John Ure the past week.

 

Mrs. L. Martin of Progress was shopping here Tuesday morning.

 

Little Merlin Beecher, after spending a week with his grandparents at Granton, returned home Sunday.

 

Geo. R. Brooks purchased a fine team this week of parties in York Center.

 

Ed Hartel of Lindsey transacted business here Tuesday.

 

Geo. R. Brooks contracted the job to oversee the grading of the roads in the town of Lynn.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Simpson and K. McInnis of Lindsey took in the sights here Sunday.

 

John Goebel and Oscar Breseman returned home Monday from their trip to Madison.

 

Geo. Brooks’ silo was partly destroyed by the wind Tuesday afternoon.

 

The hail was quite heavy in this vicinity last Sunday, hurting the small garden truck in many places.

 

Fred Hankey has converted his threshing machine engine into a sawmill and is sawing shingles for Mr. Burdick this week.

 

Max Opelt, H.B. Holmes, Ernest Montag and John Shier went to Merrill by auto Wednesday.

 

Mrs. Ernest Montag gave a party for her son Crague’s 5th birthday Friday, June 13th.  A large crowd of his little friends took in the occasion. 

 

Mrs. Frank Preston gave her little daughter Evelyn a party on her 4th birthday Saturday, June 14.  About 25 of her little friends were enjoying the event.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wiertz and son Carl attended Catholic Church at Neillsville Sunday.  Their daughter Lena was confirmed that day.  Miss Helen Mueller returned home with them to spend Sunday.
