Giese, Mr. & Mrs. R.B. #2 (Gold - 25 DEC 1959)

 

Open house was held on Christmas Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Giese, Withee (Clark Co.), Wis., in honor of their Golden Wedding Anniversary.  The couple was united in marriage on Dec. 25, 1909 at Shawano, Wis.  They have two children, Edward of Brigantine, N.J. and Richard Jr. of Richland Center, Wis.  They have four grandchildren, Richard, Russell and Ronald Giese of Brigantine, N.J., and Sally Ann Giese of Richland Center, Wis.

 

The house was decorated with white and gold wedding bells, a gold Christmas tree and the gold numerals "50".  A three-tiered wedding cake graced the center of the table.

 

Mr. Giese was an employee of the Northwester Railroad at Eagle Grove, Iowa, for many years after their marriage.  He was also active in the cheese and dairy industry for a number of years near Loyal, Wis., and in the feed business at Withee.

 

Guests at the open house included: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Prior, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bender, Mr. and Mrs. Gib Krueger, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anderegg and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Brown of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Prior of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. John Zasoba of Withee, and their guest of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ewert of Crystal Lake, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Vater of Withee, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Haselow of Owen, the E.R. Giese family of Brigantine, N.J., the Richard Giese Jr. family of Richland Center and Emily Giese of Medford.
