Meinholdt, Otto O. #2 (16 MAR 1904 - 27 NOV 1959)

 

Otto Oswald Meinholdt, 55, died unexpectedly of a heart attack about 9 a.m. Friday at his home in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).

 

Funeral services were held at the West Side United Church of Christ with the Rev. Orval Egbert officiating.  Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Mr. Meinholdt was born in the town of Warner on March 16, 1904 and received his education there.  At the age of 14 he became a cheesemaker in the Greenwood area.  Later he was a railroad worker in various states.

 

On Feb. 13, 1937 he married the former Dorthea Nindorf at Bloomer.  After their marriage he worked for the railroad some time and then in 1942 they moved to Chicago, Ill.  In 1946 they moved to the city of Greenwood where they had operated the Legion Bar since.

 

He was treasurer of the town of Mead for four years.

 

Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Jerald (Myrna) Richmond, Greenwood; Donna Lou and Marcia Gail, both at home; one grandson, Wayne Allen Richmond, Greenwood; 7 brothers, Rudolph, Madison; Louis, Neillsville; Oscar, Edward and Albert, all of Greenwood; August, Kansas City, Mo.; Arthur, Maryland; and two sisters, Mrs. Otto (Olga) Reineking, Greenwood; and Mrs. Hans (Alma) Kolpanen, Milwaukee.
