Levanduske, Velda Lois (Marriage - 26 October 1963)

Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church in Granton uniting in marriage Miss Velda Lois Levanduske daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Carstenson of Neillsville, and Erland Roland Greeler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Greeler of Rt. 1, Neillsville.  The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. C. Benecke before an altar adorned with bouquets of yellow and white chrysanthemums. The pews were marked with white bows.

William Carstenson gave his step-daughter in marriage. As she approached the altar she wore a floor-length gown of white satin peau, designed with an "A" line skirt, styled with a bow at the waist and a slit chapel train.  The bodice was fashioned with a portrait neckline and lace panels. She carried a cascade bouquet of red sweetheart roses and white chrysanthemums. A bouffant lace veil of imported silk illusion was joined to a lace crown trimmed with seed pearls and borealis crystals.

Miss Wileen Levanduske was her sister’s maid-of-honor.  Bridesmaids were Betty Jane Sternitzky of Portage and Mrs. Raymond Zipfel, sister of the groom, of Neillsville.

Mr. Greeler was attended by Roger Tyler, a brother-in-law, as bestman.  His groomsmen were Lowell Roehl of Loyal and Harold Mayer of Neillsville.  Gerald Nelson of Chili and Raymond Zipfel of Neillsville ushered.

David Tyler and Barbara Zipfel, nephew and niece of the groom, acted as ringbearer and flowergirl.

"The Wedding Prayer" and "The Lord’s Prayer" were sung by the groom’s sisters, Mrs. Harold Mayer and Mrs. Roger Tyler, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Dale Meihak.

Over 400 guests attended a wedding reception at the Erwin Greeler home in the Town of York.
