Ed Soles made a business trip to Marshfield Tuesday.

 

John Ure made a business trip to Chili on Monday.

 

Mrs. Thos. Gibson of Chili spent Monday morning here with friends.

 

Miss Cleo Daughhetee spent all of last week with friends at Neillsville.

 

The Misses Vera, Pearl and Haidee Beeckler spent Monday at Neillsville.

 

Editor Williamson of the Neillsville Times was a pleasant visitor at our office Monday.

 

Mrs. L.G. Morris spent Saturday morning with friends at Marshfield.

 

Mr. and Mrs. N.E. Lee took up their residence in their summer home a few miles out of Chili some two weeks since.

 

Mrs. Joe Buss and Miss Bertha Riedel called on town friends on Monday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hart took the Misses Mildred and Almeda Bouvran home to Mosinee by auto on Friday.

 

The Fred and Geo. Hart families autoed to Dells Dam and spent Sunday picnicking.

 

Fred Davis and Al Snow will ship cattle and calves from here and Chili next Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Sholtz and little sons returned to Ripon after a visit at the Nick Wierzinski home on Monday.

 

Max Opelt has bills out advertising a picnic in the Lynn Park for Sunday, June 15th, everybody is invited.

 

Mrs. Trimberger, who was here from Sheboygan Co. on a visit at Geo. Trimberger’s, departed for home Saturday.

 

Miss Gertrude Howard came home yesterday from Rudolph where she had been visiting Mrs. F. Root since Saturday.

 

Joe Hoover of Wausau visited old friends here several days last week.

 

Miss Ottilie Bey of Loyal, after an eleven day visit with Miss Bertha Riedel, returned home on Monday.

 

Miss Elsie Kurth, accompanied by her grandma Sholtz, came home from Milwaukee Saturday.

 

Sid Davis, E.R. Wonser, D.S. Rausch, Edw. Schroeder and F.J. Baer attended a meeting of the R.A.M. at Neillsville Monday evening.

 

Dr. and Mrs. F.A. Soles and daughter Bernice autoed down from Spencer Sunday and spent the day at the Ed Soles home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Vint Lee are making a farewell visit at the T.F. Lee home since Wednesday.  They expect to leave for their new home at Oconto Falls tomorrow.

 

Ruth Lee spent Monday and Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Vint Lee over south.

 

Next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 10, 11, and 12 are the dates for the teachers examination at Neillsville.

 

Mr. and Mrs. August Snyder of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. James Shummel spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Buss.

 

Miss Bertha Riedel and Mrs. Augusta Riedel went to Eau Claire last Friday and spent the day at the state hospital with the former’s sister, Mrs. Aug. Riedel.

 

Knorr & Rausch sold two Ford touring cars to Neillsville parties last week, one to Elmer Rossman and the other to Hamilton & Kutshers.

 

Miss Ida Winter came home last Friday from Milwaukee, where she has spent the time since last October.

 

The German Lutheran Church building in Rev. Reiff’s parish is being raised and decidedly overhauled.  When completed it will have been brick veneered and painted externally and thoroughly toned up internally.
