Hubbard, Minnie (26 June 1888 - 30 September 1963)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Hugh (Minnie) Hubbard, 83, of Rt. 1, Neillsville will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville. The Rev. E. G. Burtness will officiate and burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Hugh Hubbard was born June 26, 1888, in Neillsville, the daughter of the late Ole and Marie (Jacobson) Hanson. She received her education in the Neillsville schools and was married to Hugh Hubbard in 1905 in Neillsville.  The family lived in Big Foot, Ill., and Chicago, Ill., until 1957, when they retired and moved back to Neillsville.

 

She is survived by her husband; a sister, Mrs. Alma Light of Whittier, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

 

The body will be taken from the Georgas Funeral Home at 1 p.m. and will lie in state at the Calvary Lutheran Church until time of services.

Funeral services were held last Thursday for Mrs. Hugh Hubbard, 83, of Rt. 3, Neillsville, who died September 30, in Memorial Hospital.  The Rev. E. G. Burtness officiated at services from the Calvary Lutheran Church. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Carl Kessler, Robert Opelt, Cleve Evans, Leslie Cook, Otto Wetzel and Bill Gallagher.

 

Two hymns, "Asleep in Jesus" and "Abide with Me" were sung by Wilfred B. Galstad, accompanied by Mrs. E. G. Burtness.

 

Out of town people attending the service were: Mrs. Lyndon Hubbard and Miss Karen Hubbard of Chicago, Ill.; David L. Pickering and Dorothea Pickering of Sheldon; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cockervill of Hancock; and Dave Gallagher of Granton.
